Farmstand Memorials: Those who read the last “2 minutes” post will remember farmer Kira Kinney’s letter about the damage done to her fields by Hurricane Irene. This past weekend, Kira filled out her usually crowded stand with beautiful sketches of produce on paper, illustrating the full extent of her loss.

Announcing: Purple Kale Kitchenworks‘ October workshop schedule is up!

For those in New York, the next Purple Kale workshops are:
Saturday, October 15 (The Vegetarian Pantry), 12 to 5
Sunday, October 16 (open to all), 12 to 5

Because other projects are crowding October’s calendar, we have not yet been able to schedule the weekday Parents workshop. As always, our “open” class welcomes everyone.
